How to
Dress With
Confidence:
Create a
Balanced Body
Balance in Life
 Our eyes like to see things that are balanced.
 In life, everything needs to be balanced to get the most
benefit out of it.
 Ex. We need to create a balanced meal to get
adequate nutrition.
 It’s the same when you dress for your body.
 You want to make sure your body frame is balanced.
When your body is balanced, you’ll look attractive.
Balanced Appearance
 Keeping your body in balance means your body
looks in proportion.
 Don’t have too much attention in one area, while
other areas are lacking.
 One area can have a little more attention, but it
shouldn’t take most of the attention.
 Body looks attractive when every part works
together to enhance and complement each other.
Benefits of Balance
 By creating a balanced body frame, you
take away some attention from the
spot(s) you might not want so much
spotlight on.
 Ex. If you don’t want others to look at
your upper body, by creating a balanced
body frame the attention is scattered
throughout your appearance.
Complement Your Body
 Ex. If you have a wide chest, then wear
clothes that emphasize your lower body to
balance out your upper body frame.
 To compliment your wide chest, you can
wear flared clothing on your lower body.
 Flares on the bottom will make your lower
bottom look wider to balance out your body
and remove some attention away from your
torso.
Complement Your Body
 If you have a small chest with a wide lower
body, wear shirts/dresses that enhance
your upper body to help even out your
lower body.
 This does not mean getting plastic surgery
to make your chest bigger.
 There are many clothes that will enhance
your upper body.
