An investigation by child protective services found abuse or neglect substantiated. The parent may already be working with a case manager on a plan to meet safety and protection needs for their children. As the juvenile court is involved, it is the parent's recourse if they disagree with the department's decision instead of other review options.

This letter is your notification of the results of the recently completed investigation by child
protective services of a situation involving your child(ren). Abuse or neglect is
substantiated by the investigation.
You may already be working with a case manager on a plan that will help meet the safety
and protection needs of your child(ren). DFCS wants to help families find solutions for
problems and to provide better protection for their children.
Because the Juvenile Court/Superior Court is involved in this matter, that court is your
recourse to differ with the department’s decision if you disagree. It takes the place of any
other right for review of the decision.
