Ong Meng Foong, for example, is likely a female. Ong is a popular surname among the Hokkiens and Teochew. You can find many in Singapore and Northern Malaysia. The Hokkiens and Teochew are notably famous for their culinary skills. So, it is also quite likely that Ong Meng Foong may be a cook, and speak Hokkien.
Ong Meng Foong is a three-syllable name which belong to people of the Chinese descent. Very likely from the Han clan. The Chinese diaspora are so scattered all over the world that their names are reflective of where they are located.

1. To whom it may concern,
As you can see from my resume, I have a strong and diverse background in education, which I
acquired through working as a NET for the Gimhae public schools. In addition to my current work
experience, my TESOL and Music Education concentrations at Missouri Western University and
Valparaiso University have allowed me to significantly develop and learn practical teaching, research
strategies, and methods that can be adapted to accommodate all differentiated learning styles.
Additionally, my thesis involving the study of foreign language anxiety and its effects on Korean
students has helped to equip me with new knowledge and skills that will allow me to adapt to many
different teaching environments and duties, including conducting research, planning lessons, and
evaluating lessons.
I believe that Iam an ideal candidate for a position as a native English teacher. As a NET at Haneul
middle school, I designed interactive and entertaining lessons that improved the English proficiency
of hundreds of students. Through this experience, I developed a solid foundation of knowledge in
English education, as well as the design and function of the Korean school system. My high level of
performance in my university master’s program demonstrates my thorough understanding of
student-centered concepts, which Ican use to acclimate to the responsibilities of a high school
classroom more effectively. Iam confident that my experiences and background in education will
allow me to quickly and successfullyadjust to the fast paced learning environment that your school
requires.
Critical thinking and collaboration are valuable skills when applied to any task. My experience as an
EFL teacher in the Gimhae Native English Teaching program has provided me with practical critical
thinking and collaboration skills. As the EFL liaison, I have planned English lessons and
extracurricular activities that mirrored and reinforced the concepts of other educational disciplines,
including Math, Social Studies, Science, and Music in order to enhance students’ understanding of
English and the role of English in many other fields. I have continued to develop my critical
thinking skills by attending and presenting at the International KOTESOL conference in Seoul, in
order to learn new educational strategies. Ibelieve that these experiences will allow me to effectively
interact with students and coworkers in any educational setting.
I look forward to speaking with you. Should you have any questions, you may reach me via phone
(010-2754-5265) or via email (iantadkins@gmail.com). Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ian Adkins
