Courtney Aki is an African American and Japanese international model, writer and entrepreneur from Baltimore, Maryland. She lived in Germany from age 12 to 15 which sparked her passion for travel and experiencing different cultures. She has lived in 5 countries and traveled to over 20. With a communications degree, she worked in PR in New York and Los Angeles before pursuing modeling full time. Recently she lived in Shanghai working as a model and nightlife consultant. She has worked with many brands worldwide and will be releasing a travel memoir in December 2016.

Courtney Aki is an African-American & Japanese interna@onal model, writer, entertainment pr guru and
entrepreneur, hailing from Bal@more, Maryland. At the age of 12, Courtney and her mother moved to Germany,
living and traveling throughout Europe for three years. The move sparked her passion for traveling the world and
lust for new experiences & opportuni@es. She aOributes her @me in Germany for fostering her interna'onal flair,
iden@fying more so as “a global ci'zen of the world.” This global wanderess has traveled to over 20 countries, and
has lived in five different states and four different countries.
With a bachelor’s degree in Communica@on: Public Rela@ons, Courtney immediately began her career in
entertainment public rela@ons in New York City, aXer gradua@ng from the University of Maryland, College Park.
She subsequently relocated to Los Angeles a year later, & her versa@lity and dynamic capabili@es within the
entertainment industry soon established Courtney as a “Jill-of-all-Trades.” But with a look highly sought-aXer in
commercial Los Angeles, she shortly pursued her career in modeling full-@me, booking a number of commercials,
fashion and beauty campaigns, endorsements and editorial work na@onwide.
As of recently, Courtney has lived somewhat of a nomadic lifestyle, extending her exper@se and brand
interna@onally. She made her way back overseas, branching out to take on the most populated city in the world,
Shanghai. Not only modeling for interna@onal clients, but Courtney shook up the city’s bustling nightlife scene
consul@ng and marke@ng for some of the most exclusive nightlife brands in the city.
Courtney has worked with and walked runways for clients such as Toyota of China, The Voice China, Mercedes-

2016. Courtney is also a freelance travel writer for various travel blogs and websites.
