This document evaluates several English language coursebooks based on their visual appeal, layout clarity, inclusion of up-to-date and appropriate visuals, logical ordering of activities, interesting and relevant topics, clear identification of items for students, inclusion of vocabulary building sections, integration of pronunciation, and inclusion of supplemental components like workbooks, CDs, DVDs and online resources. The coursebooks being evaluated include English File Cutting Edge, Total English, Headway, and Speakout.
