• The Argentine territory is fully located in the Southern and Western hemispheres,
constituting the southernmost portion of South America.
It is strategically over maritime territories between the South Atlantic and the South Pacific
(Strait of Magellan, Beagle Channel, Drake Passage).
Its total area is 3,745,247 legal Km ², of which 2,780,400 km ² correspond to the Americas
