The document discusses the WE-COLLAB project at Sapienza University which aims to incorporate advanced digital technologies into courses and self-paced learning. It outlines goals to enhance an existing platform with text analysis, learning analytics collection, and mobile app functions. Potential applications include foreign language learning, linguistics, and language analysis for various fields. Future work includes evaluating learning data collected through student actions and physiological signals. Potential developments and challenges with AI-based technologies are also discussed, emphasizing the importance of experiential learning over passive consumption.

The document discusses the WE-COLLAB project at Sapienza University which aims to extend the capabilities of the CommonSpaces platform to incorporate advanced digital technologies and learning analytics in higher education courses. Specifically, it focuses on adding features for (1) text analysis and content evaluation, (2) recording learning experience data during self-paced learning sessions, and (3) a mobile app to archive data from synchronous/asynchronous classes. These tools are well-suited for language learning, linguistics, and analyzing language, sentiment, and topics in various disciplines. The project also evaluates reliability of learning analytics data and explores potential future developments and conclusions.
Genius Loci EST Conference - O.Missikoff a renowned specialist of Digital Twin technology and applications, presents to the pubblic of a local conference what are potential applications of DT and what is it today state of the art of this tech sector.

This document summarizes an article that examines religious tourism to the village of Pietrelcina, Italy, the birthplace of Saint Padre Pio. It argues that viewing tourism development through the lens of a "revitalization movement", rather than a "development paradigm", better captures how the village has organically harnessed tourism to revitalize its culture and economy. The author conducted over two years of fieldwork, observing how locals and site managers have responded to tourism's potential. Viewing tourism as a revitalization process acknowledges locals' agency and considers both external and internal forces shaping their changes, offering a more equitable and sustainable model for place regeneration through tourism.
The document summarizes the findings of a survey of data marketplaces conducted in 2013. The survey aimed to analyze trends in the data marketplace sector by revisiting a previous survey from 2012. Key dimensions like type of data, pricing models, and target audiences were examined. While some vendors from 2012 had exited the market, overall the data marketplace sector remained vibrant with numerous participants. A notable trend was toward higher quality data offerings.
The document reviews the history and trends in educational data mining (EDM) research. It discusses how EDM has grown from early work analyzing student-computer interaction logs to using a variety of data mining and machine learning methods. Relationship mining was historically prominent but prediction and discovery with models have increased. The document also summarizes key applications of EDM including student modeling, knowledge modeling, pedagogical support analysis, and exploring educational theories. It analyzes the most influential early EDM papers and identifies trends like using EDM to study gaming behavior and develop student models.

This document summarizes a study that estimates the economic impacts of a small-scale mountain endurance trail event called CollonTrek. The study finds that for each euro invested by local governments, an economic return of €17.62-€18.92 was estimated, with €5.64-€6.9 (32%-36.47%) representing a direct economic return for the local community. Additionally, feedback from event participants suggests the event has positive implications for future tourism in the host valley, pointing to how such tourist activities can have economically and socially sustainable benefits.
