Growth and characterization of pure and ni2+ doped glycine sodium sulfate cry...eSAT Journals
Abstract Single crystals of glycine sodium sulfate (GSS), a new semi-organic nonlinear optical (NLO) material, have been grown by the free evaporation method and characterized chemically, structurally, thermally, optically and mechanically. Effect of Ni2+ addition as an impurity on the properties of GSS has also been investigated. X-ray diffraction analysis indicates the crystal system as monoclinic. The functional groups have been identified using Fourier transform infrared spectral analysis. The crystals are found to be thermally stable up to 250˚C. The UV-Vis-NIR spectral analysis shows that these crystals have their cut off wavelengths around 250nm. Second harmonic generation (SHG) measurement shows the NLO property. Micro hardness measurement indicates that GSS comes under soft material category. The Ni2+ addition is found to increase the optical transparency and micro hardness whereas it decreases the second harmonic generation efficiency. Keywords: Crystal growth, Thermal properties, Mechanical properties, Optical properties, X-ray diffraction
The simulation analysis of tool flank wear based on cutting forceeSAT Journals
Abstract In the process of cutting, cutting tool wear has an important influence on the surface quality of the work piece, therefore, it is of great significance for the research of tool wear detection. In this paper, this work focuses on researching relationship between cutting force and tool flank wear. In different experiment conditions, the consistency of the results of simulation and experiment results was obtained through the comparative analysis between the two. It is a complex problem that cutting tool wear and measuring process and not easy to get the accurate ideal results by experiment, the simulation experiment has the characteristics of simple and easy to operate and the result is diminutively influenced by complex factors, therefore, it is the primary method to carry out this work by simulation experiment .In this paper, it is mainly investigated into the simulation analysis of the tool flank wear. The specific content of the simulation experiment is explaining the causation for the tool flank wear through the analysis of the temperature field at the tip and obtaining the data of cutting force in different tool flank wear(10,100,200,300um). The empirical cutting force model was established through multiple regression analysis and the tool flank wear prediction model was reversed and gained by analysis of the results of simulation experiments. Keywords: Tool Flank Wear; Cutting Force; Simulation
In this webinar, we cover how to detect BGP route leaks and hijacks that can cause suboptimal routing and network performance issues. Starting from key concepts, you'll learn how to recognize route leaks and hijacks in the data, alert for these events and proactively mitigate their impact. Effect of vinsuperplast on the hydration study of rice husk ash blended cementeSAT Journals
Abstract
For civil engineering the basic need is to produce high quality and high strength concrete. superplasticizers are used as high range water reducer and they improve the workability of concrete and mortar. In the present work several experimental programmes have been carried out in order to study the effect of Vinsuperplast on RHA blended cement. 2% Vinsuperplast with RHA blended cement and ordinary Portland cement increases the hydration and strength of cement which was measured by consistency measurement, setting time, non-evaporable water content, and free lime determination. 20% RHA blended cement gives better results in comparison to 10% RHA blended cement. The hydration mechanism of RHA blended cement with Vinsuperplast were tried to understand by using XRD, DSC and SEM techniques.
Keywords: OPC (Ordinary Portland cement); Vinsuperplast (superplasticizer); RHA (Rice husk ash) Blended cement; XRD; SEM; DSC.
