Emergency responders rescued an 18-month old girl who was trapped upside down in her mother's vehicle for 14 hours after it crashed into a river in Utah. The dramatic body camera footage shows first responders struggling to turn the overturned vehicle on its side to rescue the unconscious infant. They were able to lift the partially submerged car out of the water and discover the baby still alive in her car seat.

This is the dramatic moment rescuers freed an 18-month-old baby girl who was left dangling
upside down next to her dead mother for a staggering 14 hours after their car plunged into
a frigid river.
The newly-released footage, filmed on an officer's body camera, shows emergency crews
battling to rescue Lily Groesbeck from her mother Lynn's Dodge sedan at a river in Spanish
Fork, Utah.
First responders are captured running toward the overturned vehicle, before straining to
turn it on its side. One can be heard yelling, 'Let's go guys, come on!' as they struggle to lift
the heavy sedan.
Seconds later, the officers successfully lift the partially-submerged car out of the water and
discover Lily hanging upside down in her car seat. The infant was unconscious, but
miraculously alive.
The brave officers said that as they approached the car they could clearly hear a woman's
voice coming from the car shouting for help, but in the bodycam video, parts of the audio
are silent.

America that had a 25 yr old mother and her 18month old daughter inside.
A car has been discovered by a fisherman approximately 14 hours after it had crashed into a
cement barrier and landed into a dirty cold river in Utah, America on the 6th march 2015.
Inside the car was the driver, 25 year old Lynn Groesbeck who was pronounced dead at the
scene and her 18 month old daughter Lily who was found still alive, but unconscious. The
cause of the crash is still unknown. Emergency services have stated that they heard
desperate pleas from Lynn Groesbeck as they approached the car, even though it was likely
that she had died on impact. After retrieving the car from the river, emergency services
were then able to pass daughter Lily along to the ambulance to where she was taken to
hospital in critical condition, and treated for hypothermia. During investigation into the
crash, Marijuana, unused packaged syringes and a bottle of the pain killer, Tramadol were
found inside the mother’s purse. Police Lieutenant Matt Johnson could not state whether
these items found had any effect on the accident, but they were taken into Salt Lake City’s
state medical examiner’s office. Lily is now out of hospital after improving and is back to
