ORDER
WHEREAS in pursuance of Cabinet decision dated 22nd February 2013, the State Government in School
Education Department issued Gazette Notification vide No. 491-SL/5S-264/12 dated 20th March 2013, whereby willingness
was sought from non-government aided schools recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education to be converted
to government sponsored schools;
AND WHEREAS it appears that the Managing Committee of:
RAMGARHAT HIGH SCHOOL with, UDISE Code: 19181312702
of PURBA DAULATPUR , PO : DIGHIRPAR BAZAR under Block / Municipality : FALTA ,
PS : FALTA ,PIN : 743503 , District : SOUTH 24 PARGANAS ,has expressed willingness for such conversion vide their
Resolution No : 1/2013 , Dated 06.04.2013 ;
AND WHEREAS the land, buildings and other assets of the Government Sponsored school are recorded in
the name of the school and do not belong to any private entity / individual / society / trust / company / others;
AND WHEREAS as per section 9 of the West Bengal School Service Commission Act,1997, appointments
of teachers and non-teaching staff of the Government Sponsored school are being done by the Managing Committee of the
school on recommendation of the West Bengal School Service Commission;
AND WHEREAS the State Government in School Education Department bears responsibilities for payment
of the salaries of the teaching and non teaching staff engaged in the Government Sponsored school as per Grant-in-Aid Scheme
and terminal benefits are also provided as per Death Cum Retirement Benefit Scheme, 1981 amended from time to time;
NOW THEREFORE in exercise of power conferred by clause (d) of section 45 of the West Bengal Board of
Secondary Education Act, 1963 the Governor is hereby pleased to convert :
RAMGARHAT HIGH SCHOOL
from non-government aided school recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education to government sponsored
school recognized by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, and consequently the following conditions shall apply:
1)The Managing Committee of the school shall be constituted as per the provisions of the Management of Sponsored Institutions
(Secondary) Rules,1972 framed under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Act,1963 as amended
from time to time and shall be under government control, and the President and Secretary of the Managing Committee
shall be nominees of the State Government; and
2) The land, buildings and other assets of the school will be under the control of the Management Committee so formed as per
aforesaid condition number 1.
The Governor is further pleased to direct the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education to issue suitable
memorandum accordingly to the above effect.
This order will come into force with immediate effect.
