- Andy 9:20The planning stage is the one I often see underrepresented or underappreciated, where companies perhaps don’t spend enough time. In cases where a company runs into issues with sampling bias or other difficulties in the process, it’s often the result of not doing their due diligence in Planning.Tool selection – It’s likely the many companies will only touch on this during the first round of planning when kicking off a testing program. Some perhaps may revisit this step down the road as they become more sophisticated and may need things like CRM-driven behavioral targeting or integration with other systems like marketing automation.Elements & Test Type – An obvious part of the planning stage is determining what elements or pages to test, but less understood is the type of test that should be executed, and when I say type I’m referring to A/B tests vs. multi-variate tests.
