In Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth, the witches, along with Macbeth's ambitions, are in control; Shakespeare reveals that control through the paradoxes
in the witches' prophecies and through Macbeth's thought process, all of which work to develop the idea that death is inevitable. The first instance
where control can be seen is after the witches gave their prophecies. Macbeth's first thought after hearing the prophecies is murder. The witches never
said anything about how Macbeth is going to become king, however, Macbeth draws his own plot and tries to do things his own way. Even though it

It is a notion often used in Greek tragedies and even ties into Christianity. The point of the trope was to show the punishment given out in response
to arrogance in humans. However, Macbeth fits more the story of a Christian tragedy, especially because he, like Adam, was tempted by his already

Not only is Macbeth by far the shortest of William Shakespeare's great tragedies, but it is also anomalous in some structural respects. Like Othello
(1604) and only a very few other Shakespearean plays, Macbeth is without the complications of a subplot. (Bradley, 1905) Consequently, the action

Macbeth's conscience is further tormented after he kills Duncan. He begins to get paranoid and hallucinates, hearing voices saying, "Sleep, Sleep
no more! For Macbeth has murdered sleep". As well as seeing the ghost of his murdered friend Banquo at the diner table, he also develops
insomnia, and goes so far on as to suggest that he is jealous of Duncan because he can sleep forever whereas he cannot sleep at all. He also loses his
appetite and can no longer eat well; this shows that his insides are turning with the memory that he himself had killed a King who had been so good
to him and to Scotland. After getting Banquo killed, Macbeth sees his ghost at the banquet with twelve bloody gashes in his head; this makes Macbeth
completely insane in an instant. He is not only scared by seeing the ghost of Banquo, but also by the thought that he had done these horrible things, and

and one may decide on wrongful actions to achieve a goal. Some of the influences on Macbeth include the witches and the apparitions, Lady Macbeth,
and lastly Macbeth's own insecurities and misguided attempts to control his future.
The witches and their prophecies are the first major influence on Macbeth's actions. Macbeth seems happy and content with himself until the witches

Toward the end of play Macbeth is losing his final battle to become king of Scotland when he gets word of his wife passing, this leads to a reflection
of his life and the meaning of that term. The purpose of this insight shows his approach on the meaning of life as a whole, not just his personal life's tale.
This reflection becomes important because it gives insight into Macbeth's thoughts on the journey one–man takes in life. Whether or not Macbeth's
insight on life is true or not depends on whom you ask. The way someone builds a conclusion about life tends to rely on their own personal
