His philosophy focused on traditions and social hierarchy rather than religion. It emphasized respect for elders and one's role in relationships like father-son or ruler-subject. Confucianism aimed to establish order and better society through government serving the public interest.

The concept was created by an young Chinese philosopher named
Confucius. He initiated it first in his home where he served in a court
system that lived strictly by Chinese tradition. When his ideas were
not being accepted, he decided to try elsewhere, hoping that his
beliefs would spread. Confucianism seems to not express equality or
supply a god to worship and pray to; however, it tries to be more
realistic and work around the Chinese society that had been
established.
Confucianism made it very obvious that there were lines in which respect was
crucial and should never be crossed, especially for elders. These were specified in
the Five Relationships: father to son, older brother to younger brother, husband to
wife, ruler to subject, and friend to friend (unlike the others, this relationship shows
the sliver of true equality). Those who live by and believe in order in the state,
benefitting the public through the government and striving to make things better
will truly understand the message portrayed through Confucius and his followers.
