Brandon Dennis at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri conducted several activations to promote the film Concussion. This included (1) a prize pack giveaway on Galaxy Radio's Facebook page, (2) posting mini posters across several local universities, (3) a prize pack giveaway on WUTV's Facebook page, (4) an enter-to-win box at Saint Louis University's recreation center, and (5) a booth at a Washington University basketball game giving out promotional items. Additionally, (6) a soccer league finale at a local recreation center promoted the film and challenged students to participate online for a chance to attend an advanced screening.

He also holds a master’s degree in systematic theology from the Catholic University of America.

Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation.
Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.
Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.

station and the station’s Facebook page (717 likes). The station asked callers to call-in to win a
prize pack from CONCUSSION by answering the question, “What was the name of Will Smith's
popular sitcom in the 90s?” The first person to call in won the prize pack. On the Galaxy Radio’s
Facebook page, they held a trivia contest for a prize pack from CONCUSSION which included
promotional items.

Description: CONCUSSION was promoted on campuses in the St. Louis area including St. Louis
Community Colleges, Webster University, St. Louis University, Washington University – St.
Louis, Fontbonne University, and the University of Missouri – St. Louis. CONCUSSION mini
posters were displayed on campus bulletin boards in various resident buildings, class buildings,
quads, student centers and dining halls. College radio stations at Webster University, St. Louis
University, and the University of Missouri - St. Louis distributed mini posters to listeners at their
locations.

ACTIVATION 3: WUTV (WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY) PRIZE PACK

Description: WUTV of Washington University promoted CONCUSSION on their TV station and
the station’s Facebook page (524 likes). The station asked viewers to email-in to win a prize
pack from CONCUSSION by answering the question, “What was the name of the film in which
Will Smith and Jaden Smith played a father and son role?” The first person to call in won the
prize pack. On the WUTV’s Facebook page, they held a trivia contest for a prize pack from
CONCUSSION which included promotional items.

ACTIVATION 4: SIMON RECREATION CENTER ENTER TO WIN BOX
Venue: Simon Recreation Center, Saint Louis University
Description: The Simon Recreation Center is the main recreation center located on Saint Louis
University’s campus. The center is very popular among SLU students and within walking
distance of several of the on campus dorms and apartments. A rep dropped off an Enter To Win
box at the recreation center for students to enter for a chance to win a prize pack from
Concussion which included a #ForThePlayers hoodie, CONCUSSION mini-poster, #ForThePlayers
eye black and a pair of passes to see CONCUSSION at the advanced screening in St. Louis.

ACTIVATION 5: WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME
Venue: Washington University
Description: The Washington University Men’s Basketball team had a home game on December
12th and a rep was there with a CONCUSSION booth at the last home game of the semester. The
Washington University Men’s Basketball team is a Division -1 team and generally draws a big
crowd of both alumni and current students to the games. The rep handed out #ForThePlayers
hoodies, eye black, CONCUSSION mini posters and screening passes to students in attendance
who participated in the #ForThePlayers challenge.

ACTIVATION 6: CONCUSSION SOCCER LEAGUE FINALE
Venue: Vetta Sports Complex
Description: Vetta, a recreation center located near St. Louis Community College – Meramec,
hosted a CONCUSSION college soccer night to promote CONCUSSION. Vetta houses three turf
soccer fields and a full weight room/gym that is open to the community. It is a popular place
among college students at St. Louis Community College - Meramec and usually draws a large
student crowd. The complex holds a college soccer league and a rep was there at the last night
of games for the season handing out #ForThePlayers hoodies and eye black and encouraged the
students to take the challenge and post their best touchdown celebration or selfie to their
social media channels. Screening passes for our St. Louis advanced screening were given to the
students who participated in the #ForThePlayers challenge. Students were very excited to hear
about the movie and get the opportunity to go see it before it came out in theaters.
