Vermont Concealed Carry Guide State Reciprocity- There is no Vermont concealed carry reciprocity. Vermont is a constitutional carry/permitless carry state and thus any resident or nonresident can carry, openly or concealed, without a permit. A person merely needs to to be legally able to possess a firearm. Thus, no permit is needed for nonresidents or travelers to carry in Vermont. Since the state does not issue a permit to residents or nonresidents, there is no Vermont license for other states to recognize or reciprocate with. Vermont residents can, however, obtain a permit from a state that issues nonresident permits if they wish to carry outside Vermont.
