This document provides guidance for students completing an A Level Photography project from home due to facilities limitations caused by the pandemic. It suggests adapting the final project by photographing previous work and sketches to create a PowerPoint presentation, and using the time normally spent on experiments to fully plan a hypothetical final piece through written pages and links to inspiring artists. Students are assured they will not be penalized for lacking access to normal school resources.

2. We appreciate that this last part
of your project is going to be
extremely challenging for you to
do due to the facilities needed for
A Level Photography. We have
added the guide slides with
suggestions (in blue) on how this
could be adapted to finish your
project in these circumstances.
Please do not worry you will not
be penalised for the facilities you
have at home or resources you
have left at school. At this point it
is more about your idea!

3. You could
photograph
previous
work in your
sketchbook
and create
an A3
Power Point
document.
Completely
understand
this is for
most of you
not going to
be possible.
Add images of
photographers
work that has
really inspired
you.
Understandably further experiments
will be difficult. The best way to do
this is to photograph sections of your
sketchbook.

4. Don’t forget you can do this on an A3 Power point if you are unable to
print. Also although your final piece this will not be completed consider
how you could use those 15 hours with this final outcome!

5. Create pages on your
Experimental Development and
Final Design Ideas. You must
fully plan and consider how you
would use the 15 HOURS.
You should think about how your
work will be displayed, what
materials and processes you
would use etc.
Make sure you also add Artist links
to these pages considering
theme, materials, techniques
and the way they display their
work.
