aspects of this challenging flight. My route included a 96 -mile leg-one flight from Ryan field to
Scottsdale airport north of Phoenix. There was no Bravo airspace around Phoenix Sky Harbor
airport in 1977. It had more general aviation and business traffic than commercial flights. Leg
two was a 140-mile flight from Scottsdale to Blythe California, followed by 200-mile flight from
Blythe back to Ryan field. Interestingly, it was not the 436-miles of this triangle that would
challenge me, but an unexpected situation at the end of leg two. The morning of my flight,
Michael made sure I was properly prepared, even commenting that although Scottsdale airport
might be busy, Blythe would be a zero traffic event. He had been to that uncontrolled airport
many times and never experienced any traffic concerns. My situation would be considerably
different. The first leg was awesome, with unlimited visibility and easy navigation. I was able to

castrator standing on the host queen's back. The photograph was taken in a laboratory nest, set up

Scott Solomon. - Mycocepurus goeldii is a fungus-growing ant species that was found to host a
parasitic ant species called Mycocepurus castrator in southern Brazil - M. castrator was only
found within nests of its host species and this location was in the center of the range of its host
species M. goeldii - These two species are morphologically similar but distinct by M. castrator
being smaller and more shiny than M. goeldii - Based on a molecular phylogeny it was shown
that the parasite and host species are distinct lineages and reproductively isolated, but there is
evidence of incomplete lineage sorting - Also, it seems like the parasite originated from within
the range of the host species and the host and parasite are each others' closest relatives - Based
on the different lifestyles of the species, it is likely they will have different evolutionary
tendencies and fates

Naren is dating a girl named Felicity. Naren and Felicity both cautio.pdfamericanopticalscbe
Naren is dating a girl named Felicity. Naren and Felicity both cautiously follow their hearts - if
one has positive feelings towards the other, those positive feelings slowly amplify. However,
Naren puts tremendous weight on Felicity's feelings towards him-if Felicity likes him, he likes
her much more, and if Felicity dislikes him, he likes her less. Felicity, on the other hand, does
not like "clingy" people - if Naren likes her more, she tends to like him a little bit less. She is
also susceptible to playing "hard to get"-if Naren dislikes her, she tends to like him more.
Being an engineer, Naren has modeled these emotional dynamics with the following set of
coupled ordinary differential equations: N(t)=0.1N(t)+1F(t)F(t)=0.5N(t)+0.1F(t), Solve the
system of o.d.e.s by hand using eigenvalues and eigenvectors to determine the fate of "Naricity"
if N(0)=1 and F(0)=0, and plot the solution 1 parameterized by t from t=0 to t=15, i.e., plot F(t)
vs. N(t). Then, in a separate plot, plot each trajectory vs. time, i.e., plot N(t) vs. t and F(t) vs. t
together in their own plot. Remember axis labels and legend. What will become of Naricity? You
may use MATLAB's left division to solve systems of linear equations. Suggestion: You must
show your work, but use MATLAB as your calculator because the numbers are a little annoying..

Consider the following (AI-generated) response to the question Why .pdfamericanopticalscbe
Consider the following (AI-generated) response to the question "Why should Facebook be more
closely regulated?"
There are several economic reasons why Facebook should be more closely regulated:
1.Monopoly Power: Facebook has a dominant position in the social media market, with over 2.7
billion monthly active users. This gives it significant market power and the ability to control the
flow of information and influence the behavior of its users. Regulating Facebook can help
prevent the abuse of this power and ensure a more competitive market.
2.Data Privacy: Facebook collects a vast amount of personal data from its users, which it uses for
targeted advertising. However, the company has been criticized for not adequately protecting
user data and allowing it to be used for nefarious purposes, such as political manipulation.
Tighter regulation could force Facebook to be more transparent and accountable about how it
uses and protects user data.
3.Externalities: The negative externalities associated with Facebook's business model, such as
the spread of fake news and hate speech, can have significant economic costs. These costs can be
borne by individuals, businesses, and even entire societies. By regulating Facebook,
policymakers can help mitigate these externalities and ensure that the costs are appropriately
shared.
4.Competition: Facebook's dominance in the social media market can stifle competition and
innovation, leading to higher prices and lower-quality services. Regulation can encourage new
entrants into the market and promote competition, which can ultimately benefit consumers.
5.Taxation: Facebook generates significant revenues from its operations, but it has been
criticized for not paying its fair share of taxes. By regulating Facebook, policymakers can ensure
that the company pays its fair share of taxes, which can help fund public goods and services..

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
