Suntika Biseswar – Director
BSC Civil Engineering, PrEng, Dip Proj Man
Suntika Biseswar is a BSC Civil Engineer with a background in Traffic and
Transportation Engineering and Project Management. She is the Founder and
Director of BIS Consulting.
Suntika’s background in engineering provides her with the skills and knowledge
to manage projects efficiently and meticulously.
Graduating Top of her Engineering class she is passionate about what she does
and strives for excellence and client satisfaction on all projects.
Prior to establishing her own consulting practice, Suntika worked for both Arup
Consulting and Iliso Consulting, where she had the opportunity to work on a
number of prestigious projects, namely:
Bayhead Expansion Study
The Appointment was to conduct a study to assess the possible future
road infrastructure requirements for the Port of Durban taking
cognisance of proposed developments within and external to the Port
for a given developmental framework.
Considering the extent of the assessment and the various
developmental scenarios, the assessment was conducted with the aid
of a traffic model. Due to the nature of the project there were a number
of work streams that needed to be managed simultaneously.
2010 FIFA World Cup, Transport Operational Plan
Each host city was responsible for the development of a Transport Operational Plan
(TOP). The brief was to plan, design, manage and implement the transport operational
plan that would ensure the safe movement of some 150 000 spectators to the
stadium and neighbouring FIFA fan park. Suntika was assigned the role as overall
project manager and transport technical advisor on this project.

Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) for the
proposed additions and alterations to
existing workshops situated at 13
Manchester Road, also identified as LOT
3066, Pietermaritzburg. The facility will
consist of five building structures and a
total Gross Leasable Area (GLA) of
approximately 14031m2.
Newlands Shopping Centre
Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) for the
proposed Retail development at 10
Marbleray Drive. The proposed
development was to consist of 10 000 m²
GLA of additional retail space, bringing
the total to approximately 25 000 m2
GLA of retail space within the
development site.
Hendry Road Residential
Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) for the
Proposed Residential Development to
be situated at 122 Hendry Road, also

restaurant with a drive-through facility at

Consent Application to operate a

Margate Filling Station
BIS Consulting were appointed to
undertake a Traffic Impact Assessment
(TIA) for the proposed filling station in
Margate, South of Durban. The site is
located within the Hibiscus Coast
Municipality and lies adjacent to an
existing taxi rank. Access was to be
shared with the taxi rank, and was
provided off the R620. The TIA was to
form part of an application to rezone
the site allowing the operation of a filling
station.
East London Filling Station
BIS Consulting were appointed to
undertake a Traffic Impact Assessment
(TIA) for aproposed development at Erf
46913 & 46914 Amalinda, East London.
According to the information received
the proposed development was to
consist of a filling station, a fast food
outlet as well as a retail component.
605 Bluff Road
BIS Consulting was appointed by Mr
Mohamed Amod to undertake a Traffic
Impact Statement (TIS) for the Proposed
Commercial and Residential Facility to
be situated at 605 Bluff Road, also
identified as REM on Portion 1 Erf 1809,
Wentworth. This document served as
part of the Special Consent Application
