Top Broker for @properties Receives 2016 Community Service Award
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 14, 2016
Christopher Mundy, a top producing broker with @properties, was the recipient of the Chicago Association of Realtors
(C.A.R.) 2016 Community Service Award given at the annual C.A.R. Awards banquet Wednesday evening at the
Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. The award is given annually to a local Chicago real estate broker who through their time,
energy and financial support makes their local community a better place.
Thad Wong, founder of @properties shared, “Not only is Chris one of the best brokers in the market, he has never
forgotten the value of personal service. Chris consistently exceeds his client's expectations while remaining a valuable
resource to them far after the transaction.”
Mundy, a twenty-year resident of Chicago, has many philanthropic endeavors which are a cornerstone of his residential
real estate business. Mundy has had a fourteen-year relationship with the Off the Street Club. The one-hundred-year-old
club is an after school program for inner-city children in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. Mundy began
volunteering at the club in 2002, spending time with the children, participating in cultural outings around Chicago and
mentoring as many kids as possible. He raised his level of commitment to the Club by putting on annual fundraisers, toy-
drives during the holidays, sponsoring back-packs for a back-to-school program and eventually connecting @properties
Friends & Family Foundation with the club; leading to an $18,000 donation in 2012. Mundy also donates a portion of
each transaction to the club.
Mundy has also assisted the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation with their Cook-Off-For-Cancer event the past two years
and has attended every year since the inaugural event in 2012. The 2016 cook-off raised more than $625,000 to help
families battling cancer. Mundy has also been on the executive committee for Sparty Ball (annual Chicago Michigan State
alumni association event) the past two years (as well as a sponsor) raising more than $25,000 for Chicagoland high school
students wanting to attend MSU. He also traveled to Nepal and Everest in 2015 and was aboard the last plane out of
Kathmandu, prompting him again to raise $5,000 for the Nepal earthquake recovery efforts.
“I have won many awards during my ten years in real estate, but this award is the most gratifying and truly represents
what I am all about…giving back and sharing my successes with others. I hope the award brings additional attention and
support to Off the Street Club and any other charities that benefit the city of Chicago and its many wonderful
neighborhoods.”
