Plant Expansion
(CUP)
Central Utility Plant (CUP) Project Overview
• This project consists of a Central Utility Plant (CUP) addition to house
mechanical equipment which will serve the existing hospital’s upcoming
renovations. The new CUP building, medical gas storage building and
associated piping will be constructed in the west yard.
• This project also includes utility relocation in the existing hospital.
Central Utility Plant (CUP) Project Overview
• The new CUP building will contain the following equipment:
• Two Water Cooled Chillers (CH-1 & 2)
• Two Chilled Water Pumps (CHWP-1 & 2)
• Two Condenser Water Pumps (CWP-1 & 2)
• Two Cooling Towers (CT-1 & 2)
• Accessory Items (expansion tank, air separator, chemical feed system, heat
exchanger)
• Support Items (HVAC system, refrigerant exhaust system, mixing sink,
emergency eye wash/shower)
