Communication models describe the process of communication. Aristotle's model shows a speaker giving a speech to an audience to create an effect. Shannon-Weaver's model involves a sender encoding a message to be sent through a channel and decoded by a receiver. The Osgood-Schramm model depicts the encoding and decoding of a message by both the sender and receiver as it is interpreted.
