1. Last Tuesday seemed to be the perfect day for a walk in the "Combe à la
serpent". This huge natural park is a few yards away from our school : it is
beautiful. So we left with our backpacks full of surprises, ready to let our
senses guide us.....
very quickly, we were surrounded by huge green trees, birds songs. We were so
lucky the sun was warm and gentle after so many cold rainy days.

2. We played a game : we were in pairs. one of us was blinded with a scarf and
his/her partner led us to touch different things : we had to say how it felt, if
we thought it pleasant. of course, we had guesses.......It was good fun.

3. Then, our English teachers had prepared many British "goodies" we had never
tried before : fruit jelly, marmite on toast, crunchy, fizzy sugar, vinegar crisps.
We loved it (apart from M.)

4. Lying and rolling in the grass felt so good! Some even walked bare foot.

5. We also spilt into smaller groups and stopped talking to listen to birds, to the
wind in the trees. We tried to recognize some of the birds.

6. At the end of the afternoon, everyone chose a pitch that he liked and drew or
painted what he / she liked. It was peaceful. Sharing this afternoon made
everyone feel close, relaxed and happy.
