Editor's Notes

  1. Beginning ESL Lesson on Colors: This basic vocabulary lesson is designed for students who are just learning the English language. It can be shown on an interactive board like a Smartboard. Teachers should say the vocabulary words and have the students repeat them. After the teacher has modeled the presentation, student volunteers can give the presentation to the class.
  2. Red items: apples, roses, and stop signs.
  3. Yellow items: the sun, bananas, and lemonade.
  4. Blue items: butterflies, the sky, and the ocean.
  5. Green items: leaves, frogs, and grass.
  6. Pink items: flamingoes, roses, and slippers.
  7. Purple items: flowers, dresses, and glass.
  8. Orange items: oranges, flowers, and blouses.
  9. White items: clouds, ducks, and wedding dresses.
  10. Gray items: suits, rain clouds, and birds.
  11. Brown items: dressers, dogs, and dirt.
