ColoRE_ Renovation of People's Park in Reggio Emilia
The thesis involved the definition of a design solution that would confer a new shape to the area, making it not only more noticeable and appealing to the citizens, but also more protected with regard to its cultural and architectural heritages. Defined as an environment that reflects all citizens, as well as users of all ages meant finding a connecting element that could care the linking about all different needs, included in a common place, that maintains an essence of vitality and the interest in the discovery of this place. This is best achieved through the use of materials, colors, shapes, spaces, species of trees that are to be used in different ways to create a sort of “rooms” in an environment that actually remains unified and balanced, making coexist the natural aspect of the place with the concept of urban life.
