Colombia is a major producer of coffee, which is grown in a region known as the Coffee Growers Axis at high altitudes between 3600-6300 feet as well as at low altitudes from sea level to 3000 feet. Colombian coffee grows in volcanic soil and a climate suitable for coffee plants in the natural environment of this region.
