1. I stare at the racks of clothes piled up on my bed. I was in a rush and packing
about to leave for college.
My annoying sister Martha snores next to me
How fun
As I go to pick up a hoodie my phone buzzes and on the screen appears: my ride or die
Yup that was my friend Alexis, she's been my friend since middle school. And if I didn't
answer her right now chances are she would give me a whole lot of questions
“Hey Alexis, what's up?”
“OMG BITCH GUESS WHAT”
I flinch at her loudness and groan dropping the phone back on my bed
“Alex I swear you're going to give me a heart attack one day-what is it?”
“COLEN DENIS ASKED ME OUT!!”
I smile and match her happiness, this girl has been crushing on this guy since freshman
year in highschool. He's the player type but if he ever hurts Alex he will regret it
“Im happy and all but I don't want little jock to mess with you be careful”

2. “Ugh Mia i'm not a damn kid you know right?”
I roll my eyes and stuff a hoodie in my suitcase
“I know i’m just being a protective best friend” I smile and gather my stuff
“Mhm…hey did you finish packing yet? It's almost 10 and we gotta get there soon” I
groan and look around my room
Most of everything I need is in my suitcase I just need to pack these clothes, I grab my
phone
“Hey uhm yeah! Almost done” I can picture Alex’s look in my face giving me the “you-
know-damn-right look”
“Alex I need to lock in and finish with this shit when we meet your going to spill all the
tea” I say still trying to fold the clothes
She squeals and laughs
“Ok hurry up though!”
We say goodbye before I dive into my clothes

“And then we ate and then we went in the car and that's when he told me!”

3. I was in the car driving Alex who was rambling on about Colon but I promised I would
listen to her. I also had just said good-bye to my whole family which was really hard. But
in some other ways I was excited and nervous for a new start.
“And he told me he's never been into an actual girl, and I make him feel things he's never
felt!” Alex says looking at me with a cheeky grin, i roll my eyes and try to fill in her
delusions
“He must of really like you then” I smile looking back at her starstruck face
Oh such a simp
“And that doesn't mean get attached” I point out. She frowns and I chuckle
I pull up into the big gated driveway of the collage
It's really pretty a couple of students like us (freshmans) getting into their dorms
Luckily class doest start for us today actually It starts tomorrow
Alexis parks the car and are other friends Pauline and Luna come out running up to us
with bags in their hands
“Gosh that car ride was insane” Luna takes some of my bags and I thank her
“Real! And plus Alex kept on yapping about Colen”
Luna and Pauline all make a ‘ooo” sound

4. “Guys shut the hell up” says Alex
We all joke for a bit
“Guys we should probably find our dorms before it starts getting dark” says Luna
“Not it!”
“Not it”
“Not it!”
They all turn to me
“What?”
“You find our dorms and come back with our numbers” Pauline says smiling handing
there students IDs to me
Groaning, I take their Ids and my bags from her and walk to the main entrance
Inside it's big with students everywhere, there's two workers at a counter. I stand behind a
line and go on my phone peacefully, and begin doom scrolling. only on pinterest, my
favorite social app.
“This is my place”
I look up and my eyes land on the most prettiest/hottest guy ever, his brown fluffy hair
frames his face perfectly, he also has a perfect jawline and little facial hair which makes
him 10x hotter and those hazel eyes

5. Holy
“Sorry-uh you talking to me?” I say coming back to reality
“Who else is standing in line next to my bags?”
I look next to me and his bags, suitcase and backpack both next to me and a name
Morrison Haneson printed on it in cursive letter
Dang it Mia!
“I'm sorry but uhm..your name isn't on here?”
I literally just said that to get on his nerves
He rolls his eyes and clenches his teeth
I chuckle and stand back
“All yours”
He stands in front of me and damn he's wearing a compression shirt that defines his
whole back
This guy was definitely on to something
“Your blocking my view you know”
I say annoyingly
He turns back

6. “From seeing?”
“From seeing the workers”
He raises a brow and laughs
“It's not funny you know..”
“Thats cute”
He says before walking to the worker
I roll my eyes and grab my things and follow the next worker available nearly tripping on
my shoe
“Hi, how may I help you?”
“Hi uh I just need to know my dorm number along with some others”
“Sure i will need your student Id card please”
I look for my ID card along with my friend’s id and drop a couple things
Great
Passing it to the lady I notice the guy from earlier literally kick my lip gloss and mirror
that had fallen
No way
I look up to notice him talking back to the worker

7. The lady passes my card back and gives me my dorm number along
I thank her and I notice the guy leaving I pick my stuff on the ground and stuff them in
my purse and storm after the guy
“Who the hell do you think you are?”
I say grabbing his wrist
“Woah easy there sweetheart”
“No?”
He takes his hand away and dusts it
Rude
“Why did you kick my stuff?”
“Why not?”
I glare at him
“Well because I did nothing to you?”
“Technically you stole my place and line plus you teased me about it until you actually
gave me”
He says swinging his pen while smiling
That damn smile

8. I roll my eyes
“Just giving you your payback”
He winks before leaving leaving me standing there annoyed

“Mia your so damn lucky you get this whole dorm by yourself”
I grin and a take a floral pink blanket and spread it on my bed
I'm unpacking my stuff with Alex, unfortunately we didn't get to be roommates which
sucks she's paired up with some junior nerd
“You still havent told me about that hottie you had a fight with” she giggles
I roll my eyes and take out some jellycat plushies
“We didn't fight and plus I said i’d tell you tomorrow”
“Why not now?”
“Because-”
I stare at her puppy eyes and groan
“You love guilt tripping me hm?”
“Yes! Now tell me bitch”

9. “Ok so.. I was in line waiting for my turn and I was on my phone. Also I completely
ignored the fact that someone's bags were right next to me”
“Must be a Mia thing” Alex points out unfolding a poster
I roll my eye and chuckle grabbing a fluffy rug
“Anyways~ so this guy comes and when I say this guy had the hottest-”
The door unlocks and Morrison enters
Me and Alex instantly stop talking
Oh your fucking kidding
“Oh so now you f*cking break into my dorm?”
Morrison says he shuts the door and drops his bags staring me dead in the eyes
“I dint break in dumbass this is my dorm”
He laughs dryly
“Yeah well incase you didn't see me open it-”
“Yeah I have eyes!” i shoot back
“Ok..well I will be going now!” Alex says, slowly gets up and walks to the door
“Have fun you two” she whispers and Morrison makes a disgusted face
She makes a “call me later” sign

10. I groan
“Ok well-”
“Well as long as you don't get your weird girl stuff near me i’ll be fine”
I roll my eyes
“What are you 2?!”
I shout as he gathers his things
He grabs his stuff and walks to his room
Oh God tell me this is a joke
I eventually finish unpacking and collapse on my bed tired
I notice the miss calls from my mom and sigh and call her back
“Mia Honey?”
“Hey mom”
“Oh honey I was worried sick for you- you don't call me or anything”
“I'm so sorry mom I was so busy with unpacking and everything”
“It's alright love, how's everything? You like where you're staying?”
Yeah it's great I'm roommates with a hot guy who hates me!
“Yeah uhm, it's nice how's dad and Martha?”

11. I say trying to change the subject
“Let me go grab your father and her”
“Okay”
I notice the contact photo I have for my mom. I was around 2 and she was holding me
smiling.
A sharp sting of miss for my family hits me in the guts
“Mia?”
“Hi daddy, I miss you”
“We miss you the most dear, how's college?”
“It's good homes better”
I hear him chuckle
He passes the phone to my sister Martha whos a freshman in high school
Young I know
“Hi Mia”
“Hey Martha”
“Guess what Mia? I got the whole room to myself!”
I roll my eyes

12. Me and Martha shared rooms our whole lives, well apart from now. And we also wanted
are own
“Great news I also get my own here” I say sarcastically smiling
She chuckles and I imagine her cute dimples popping up
“That doest mean I don’t miss your snoring though”
“Hey! That was you!”
“Nu uh!”
