However many of these systems largely leave open the question how to use our models outside of the batch world (like in a reactive application). Different options exist for persisting the results and using them for live training, and we will explore the trade-offs of the different formats and their corresponding serving/prediction layers.
Angular 2 overview
Angular 2 is a new version of AngularJS that is currently in alpha. It embraces modern web standards like Shadow DOM and Web Workers. Angular 2 components replace directives and use classes instead of controllers. Templates are now called views. Two-way binding and ng-repeat are changed. The API is still changing but you can try it now on angular.io.

Configuring in the Browser, Really!
We present an approach for tackling common problems in configuration
frameworks:
- It is often difficult to map a conceptual model of a configurable
product into the restricted capabilities of configuration engines.
For the end user this leads to suboptimal UIs.
- The communication between a custom UI front-end and the configuration
engine is cumbersome to implement. For the end user the need for
round-trips between the UI and the configuration server can cause a
sluggish user experience.
With HTML5 and JavaScript-based UI frameworks such as React.js browsers
have advanced into a powerful application platform. This allows to run
not only the UI but also the configuration logic in the browser.
This benefits the work of various stakeholders:
- Modelers are provided with powerful data structures and the ability to
define their own concepts.
- Gradually extending the standard UI with custom features becomes easy
and is based on standard technologies.
- End users will enjoy the user experience of modern web applications.
- End users can even use configurators in offline mode, without access
to a server.
- There is no need to run and maintain a server-side configuration
engine.
We will demonstrate this approach with concrete products and discuss the
integration with an SAP back end.

Mutation Testing for Task-Oriented Chatbots
Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.

Regular Expressions Similar to block strings and comments, CoffeeScript supports block regexes — extended regular expressions that ignore internal whitespace and can contain comments and interpolation.
