• Eliminate distractors; identify why they are incorrect
• Answer is based on current best practice as published
in the literature, not necessarily on facility practice
• Attempt to answer the question before reading the
options
• Eliminate options that have
absolutes, i.e. “always”, “only”, “never”
• Review your answers at the end
