- Net sales increased 5% to $1.16 billion in the third quarter of 2006 compared to $1.10 billion in the same period of 2005. Net earnings also increased slightly to $112 million from $109 million. - Earnings from continuing operations grew 14% to $175 million in the third quarter of 2006 from $154 million in the prior year, driven by increases in the Household and Specialty groups. - Total current assets decreased to $940 million as of September 30, 2006 from $1.043 billion a year earlier, largely due to lower cash and receivables balances. Total stockholders' deficit improved to $55 million from $532 million.
