The Heroku engine matches the homeowner’s specifications to a database of
efficient products. The Heroku engine generates a highly customized, dynamically
generated price quote for Sunnova to present to the homeowner.
Efficiencies Created: Sunnova’s legacy quoting engine was at end of life. The
previous controller couldn’t handle international transactions. Heroku supports the

displayed in a web page hosted on Salesforce. Heroku yields a 100x improvement
in performance over similar searches on Force.com with more functionality than is
feasible on Force.com.
Benefits: Heroku allows CED’s distributors to have a centralized database of
products and a unified pricing structure through all 600 facilities. Previously the
pricing process was cumbersome, less efficient and slower.
