What is Coroplast?
• Corrugated plastic or corriboard -
also known under the tradenames of
Polyflute, Coroplast, IntePro,
Proplex, Correx, Twinplast,

It is a light-weight tough material
which can easily be cut with a craft
knife. Manufacturers typically offer
a wide variety of colors and
thicknesses from 4mm(most
common)-10mm.

• Corrugated plastic is usually made
from polypropylene. Polypropylene is
coded 5 by the Society of the
Plastics Industry. This means when
you are done with it, it too can be
recycled and not end up in the
landfill.

• In most cases, standard Coroplast plastic
sheets are 100% recyclable. We
encourage the recycling of Coroplast
plastic sheets. Due to the durability of
Coroplast it can often be reused. If the
product is no longer usable we recommend
removing any non-polypropylene
accessories if
• applicable and recycling.

• Some common uses for recycled
Coroplast include automobile battery
cases, signal lights, battery cables,
brooms, brushes, ice scrapers, oil

How to “glue” coroplast
together…
To glue coroplast using medium CA glue.
Run the flame of a propane torch very quickly along the contact area
of coroplast parts.
This is supposed to burn away the oils in the coroplast [lots of practice
for this] ----
Then place little drops of CA about 1/8" apart
and join parts.
Don't glob the CA as this will not work.
Small drops only.

• Some things to know about using CA glue…
• Debonder
• Quickly disolves all cyanoacrylate (CA) glues. Use to seperate joints (or fingers), or to remove
unwanted CA glue.
• Activator
• When you need sure cures quicker, Activator sprays on and accelerates the cure time of any CA
formula without reducing bond strength.

Coroplast can be painted
• Krylon Fusion® Spray Paint for Plastics will provide a thin durable
layer.
• Follow the manufactures directions for application of the spray
paint.
• Brushes and rollers are not recommended for direct application of
paints to Coroplast because the paint layer is too thick and can
easily peel and delaminate.
• For art projects you may use brushed application
of compatible paints on top of the "primer"/
base layer of the Krylon Fusion® Spray
Paint for Plastics.

Krylon Paint Colors
Colors can influenced by the color of the Coroplast being painted.
