WHO IS ICF OLSON?

We began hosting CIRCUIT in 2013, when Adobe approached CITYTECH (now a part of ICF OLSON) a
Business Plus integration partner, to host an AEM-specific event. Keen to show our expert knowledge and
facilitate the growth of others, we agreed to put on an event. We’re proud of what CIRCUIT has become and
what it will evolve to be.
WHAT IS CIRCUIT?
CIRCUIT is a strictly technical conference for developers. In it’s first two years, there were no great hall
exhibitions, no fluff. ICF OLSON is still committed to hard-driving, nuanced technical sessions, but we have
realized from attendee feedback and our own reflection that attendees want to see vendors and be able to talk
to them on a technical level about their products.
CIRCUIT attendees are primarily developers. Most of our attendees hail from the Midwest and East
Coast, come with a few coworkers, are intermediate- to advanced-level AEM developers, and are primarily
25–45-year-old men with a computer science degree.
++ Roughly 20 percent of our attendees each year have been decision-making directors, owners, and managers.
++ 66 percent of attendees are technical architects and developers, working deeply with AEM and
complimentary software.
We believe strongly in open-source projects and devote several sessions each year to new open-source
developments that advance the developer community and streamline integrations with all different
technology—from eCommerce platforms to translation services.

For CIRCUIT 2016 we aim to continue offering:
++ technically heavy sessions with an emphasis on new releases in AEM
++ tips and tricks to run AEM more efficiently
++ new open-source projects designed to make developers’ lives easier
We also plan to focus more on client success stories, detailing how particular industries have implemented
AEM and revitalized their business. CIRCUIT sessions fall into three types, a short “lightening round”
session, an overview-level 30-minute session, and a deep-dive 60-minute session. All sessions include
time for Q & A from the crowd to foster discussion about each topic.
In addition to the daily sessions, through the CIRCUIT conference app we encourage engagement among
attendees with quizzes based on ibeacon technology and facilitate a speaker panel on the last day of the
conference for maximum involvement.
