abodes/seats', meaning 'the small circuit of four abodes/seats.
• It is an important Hindu pilgrimage circuit.

• Yamunotri is the original source of Yamuna River surrounded
by High peaks forest and large valley.
• Yamuna is the 2ND largest and one of the holiest river in India
after Ganga.
• Location: Garhwal region of the Uttarakhand
(formerly the northwestern section of
Uttar Pradesh)
• Actual source: The Yamunotri Glacier, at a height 6,387
meters (20,955 ft.), near the Bandar
punch peaks in the Lower Himalayas
YAMUNOTRI RIVER

HISTORY
• Housing a black marble idol of the river goddess Yamuna
• Mythology says River Yamuna is the daughter of sun god and Sandhya, the
goddess.
• According to sources, the temple was constructed by Maharaja Pratap
Shah of Garhwal.
TOURISM
• Pilgrims also get to enjoy a number of hot water springs in the vicinity of
the temple.
• Janki Chatti (hot water springs)
• Surya Kund (hot water springs dedicated to sun god)
• Hanuman Chatti (confluence of ganga and Yamuna)
SCHEDULE
• The temple is opened on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, which falls in April –
May for the visit by pilgrims
• Closes on Diwali day during October – November.
• Following the closure of the temple after this season, the entire region is
stuck in silence being covered by white snow all around.

• Gangotri is one of the origin sources of Holy River Ganga (Ganges).
• Ganga river is the longest and most sacred river in world.
GANGOTRI
• Loction: Uttarkashi district in the state
of Uttarakhand, India
• Origin: “Gaumukh” which is a glacier
located 19 km away from gangotri temple.
HISTORY
• According to Hindu Mythology, It is said that the Ganga is a reward given by lord
“Shiva” to the king Bhagirath .
• This is why Ganga is also called by the name of Bhagirathi.
• However due to her pride and the fact that the earth would be destroyed if
Ganga came down in her full force, Lord Shiva caught her in his locks.
SCHEDULE
• The Gangotri dham is closed to the public for winter on Bhai Dooj with
Vedic chanting.
• The idol of Goddess Ganga is taken to nearby village of Mukhba where she
is worshipped during winters till the reopening of the main dham.
• The temple will reopen to public in April-May in every year as the area is
covered with snow in the remaining months.
TOURISM
• There are many Shops which sell prasads and light weight cans to carry
water from Gangotri after Darshan .
• Ganga water is pure and used in poojas or offering in temple.
• There are several temples in Gangotri where visitors can learn the history
behind the creation of Ganga River.

Shri Badrinath Dham
ABOUT
• Location: Badrinath, nagar panchayat
in Chamoli district in the state of
Uttarakhand, India
• Lies between Nar and Naryana
mountain ranges and in the shadow of
the mighty Nilkantha peak
• Nara-Narayana is the twin-
brother avatar of the God Vishnu on
earth, working for the preservation
of dharma.
HISTORY
• There is no historical record about the temple, but there is a mention of
the lord Badrinath in Vedic scriptures (c. 1750–500 BC).
• According to some accounts, the temple was a Buddhist dham till the 8th
century and Adi Shankara converted it to a Hindu temple.
SCHEDULE
• The Badrinath temple opens every year in the month of April-May &
closes for winters in the third week of November.
• Thus the temple is shut down for 6 months every year
• During shut down period prayers to the Badri Vishal continue at the
Narsimha temple in Joshimath.

DAY 1 : DEHRADUN - YAMUNOTRI
• Stay : Overnight stay at Lemon Tree.

Upon arrival at Dehradun airport you will transfer to hotel.
Rest day spend at leisure Overnight at The Hotel.
DAY 2 : YAMUNOTRI
• Stay : Overnight stay at Yamunotri Cottages

• DEHRADUN- YAMUNOTRI:
Trip starts at 7 AM in the morning from Shahastradhara
Helipad, depart for Kharsali via helicopter and arrive at the
helipad by 7:30 AM. Head to Yamunotri Dham by Palki (a
structure generally used to carry people to the top of the
mountains) at around 8:00 AM. Return to Karsali by 1:30 PM and
relax at the hotel for some time. At 4 in the evening, proceed for
a visit to Shani Temple.
DAY 3 : GANGOTRI
• Stay : Overnight stay at Hamalayan Nature Resort
• Meals : included as per inclusions
• YAMUNOTRI- GANGOTRI:
Early in the morning, depart for Harsil via helicopter by
7:45 AM. Your journey to Gangotri Dham (22 km approx.) will
start at 8:15 AM. By 12:30 PM, return to the hotel and spend
some time at leisure. At 4:30 in the evening, visit the village
shops and buy some souvenirs to take back home. Enjoy a
campfire and folk singing performances at 6:00 PM.
DAY 4 : KEDARNATH
• Stay : Overnight stay at Villa Aadhya

• GANGOTRI-KEDARNATH:
At 8:30 in the morning, head to Kedarnath by helicopter.
Arrive at Sersi / Kedarnath Helipad by 9:30 AM and proceed for
Shri Kedarnath Ji Dham Darshan. By 12:00, return to Sersi
Helipad and transfer to the hotel. Visit Triyuginarayan Temple /
Kalimath Temple at 4:30 in the evening.
DAY 5 : BADRINATH
• Stay : Overnight stay at Sarovar Portico

• KEDARNATH-BADRINATH:
Check out from the hotel by 8:00 AM and transfer to the
helipad by car. You will depart for Badrinath by 9:00 AM, via
helicopter. On arrival in Badrinath at 9:45 AM, get ready for
Temple Darshan and check in at the hotel. Head to Mana village
by 4:30 PM.
DAY 6 : BADRINATH- DEHRADUN
• Depart for Dehradun.

• MAHA ABHISHEK POOJA- DEHRADUN:
Early in the morning, attend the Maha Abhishek Pooja,
conducted at 4:30 AM. Later, depart for Dehradun by helicopter
