4. Key Issues
● Ordering: Wait time for the prior
customer’s tortilla to be out of the
presser was long, thus increasing our
waiting time for the burrito.
● Solution: The more logical solution
for this constraint would be to add
another presser so then workers
can help move the line faster.
5. More Issues
● Issue: there are only one cash register. When people finish their orders,
they have to wait for quite awhile because there is lack of cash register.
This make the line seems so long and in some cases, people might be lazy
to wait in line and decided to go somewhere else to eat.
● Solution: If they add more cash register, the line will no longer be too long
as people do not have to wait for too long to pay and thus, it will attract
more customer as the line is not so long.
6. Issues (continued)
● Fountain Drink Station: The placement of the fountain drink station
causes a disruption in the dining area ambiance. While eating a meal, the
customer has to constantly hear people filling up their cups.
● Solution: The fountain drink station should be moved closer to where
customers can pick up their food and walk out the door if they want to
leave. Currently, the Chipotle at Crossroads’ drink station is centered in
the dining area.

● Seating: The seats across from the food line are not ideal tables to eat at.
The table with the most room for sitting, has the smallest surface area to
eat. With the amount of food provided for each meal, the surface area for
that table should be larger.
● Solution: We suggest that the Crossroads Chipotle swap the fountain drink
station with the unenjoyable seating area across from the food line. This
would expedite the process of getting your drink and eating or leaving.
The rest of the dining area would also expand; thus creating an opportunity
for larger groups of people to eat together.
