This document describes ChemCo Systems' epoxy asphalt chip seal, which is a high-performance, liquid epoxy binder mixed with asphalt for use as a thin, durable wearing surface on roads subject to heavy traffic. It protects substrates like steel, concrete or asphalt. The epoxy asphalt chip seal has excellent adhesion, strength, flexibility and resistance to water and UV damage. Product testing has evaluated its curing properties, adhesion to various substrates, fatigue resistance and other properties.
