A brief description of the habitat
Speaking of craters, many of them
were named after artists or authors
who made significant contributions
to their respective fields. Mercury
takes a little more than 58 days to
complete its rotation, so try to
imagine how long days must be
there! Since the temperatures are so
extreme, albeit not as extreme as on
Venus, and the solar radiation is so
high, Mercury has been deemed to
be non-habitable for humans
Mercury is the closest planet to the
Sun and the smallest one in the
entire Solar System. This planet's
name has nothing to do with the
liquid metal, since Mercury was
named after the Roman messenger
god. Despite being closer to the Sun
than Venus, its temperatures aren't
as terribly hot as that planet’s. Its
surface is quite similar to that of
Earth’s Moon, which means there
are a lot of craters and plains
Did you know that
about chimpanzees?
Do you know what helps you make your
point crystal clear? Lists like this one:
● They’re simple
● You can organize your ideas clearly
● You’ll never forget to buy milk!
And the most important thing: the audience
won’t miss the point of your presentation

Venus has a beautiful name and is the second planet from the Sun. It’s terribly
hot, even hotter than Mercury, and its atmosphere is extremely poisonous. It’s
the second-brightest natural object in the night sky after the Moon

Our challenges and actions
Absence of these primates would lead to irreversible
alterations in these forest ecosystems. It is
important to note that all four subspecies of
chimpanzees are currently endangered
We do this by, among other
things:
● Working with other NGOs
● Improving wildlife protection
● Environmental education
● Combat habitat loss
● Working with governments
● Develop IUCN Action Plans
Chimpanzees are endangered due to habitat loss,
hunting, and their slow reproductive rate. If an adult
is killed, it takes around 14-15 years to replace them

Three essentials about chimpanzees
Habitat Reproduction
Threats to survival
Chimpanzees inhabit diverse environments.
While numerous populations reside in
tropical rainforests, they can also be found
in woodlands and grasslands across central
and western Africa
Female chimpanzees can give birth at any
time of year, usually to a single infant. The
newborn clings to its mother's fur and later
rides on her back until weaning, which
takes place between the ages of 3 and 5
The International Union for the Conservation of Nature has designated chimpanzees as
endangered due to the significant impact of human population growth. As humans encroach
upon the chimpanzees habitat, forests are cleared for agriculture. Moreover, logging,
mining, oil extraction, and the construction of roads and highways pose additional threats
by degrading and fragmenting the chimpanzees habitat

How you can help?
Buying FSC-certified forest products aids in safeguarding
chimpanzee habitat by promoting sustainable forestry and curbing
illegal logging
Buy sustainable wood and paper
01
Supporting reputable organizations that work towards chimpanzee
habitat conservation through donations is highly beneficial
Donate to associations
02
Share comprehensive information with people about conserving
chimpanzee habitats, enabling them to contribute to the cause and
make a positive impact
Spread the word!
03
What is habitat conservation?
Chimpanzees benefit from legal protection provided by national and international laws,
such as the U.S. Endangered Species Act. Certain portions of their habitat are safeguarded
as sanctuaries or reserves. Conservation organizations are actively involved in efforts to
expand these protected areas. Simultaneously, they advocate for an end to the illegal
killing and capture of chimpanzees
A critical factor in securing the future of chimpanzees is improving their relationship with
humans. Many organizations collaborate with communities to raise awareness about the
threats chimpanzees face, develop action plans for habitat preservation, and assist
community members in adopting alternative livelihoods that are sustainable and do not
harm chimpanzee habitats
Chimpanzees are protected by international laws

  • 28. Our challenges and actions Absence of these primates would lead to irreversible alterations in these forest ecosystems. It is important to note that all four subspecies of chimpanzees are currently endangered We do this by, among other things: ● Working with other NGOs ● Improving wildlife protection ● Environmental education ● Combat habitat loss ● Working with governments ● Develop IUCN Action Plans Chimpanzees are endangered due to habitat loss, hunting, and their slow reproductive rate. If an adult is killed, it takes around 14-15 years to replace them Importance of chimpanzees Conservation actions: What is our challenge?

  • 30. Three essentials about chimpanzees Habitat Reproduction Threats to survival Chimpanzees inhabit diverse environments. While numerous populations reside in tropical rainforests, they can also be found in woodlands and grasslands across central and western Africa Female chimpanzees can give birth at any time of year, usually to a single infant. The newborn clings to its mother's fur and later rides on her back until weaning, which takes place between the ages of 3 and 5 The International Union for the Conservation of Nature has designated chimpanzees as endangered due to the significant impact of human population growth. As humans encroach upon the chimpanzees habitat, forests are cleared for agriculture. Moreover, logging, mining, oil extraction, and the construction of roads and highways pose additional threats by degrading and fragmenting the chimpanzees habitat

  • 33. How you can help? Buying FSC-certified forest products aids in safeguarding chimpanzee habitat by promoting sustainable forestry and curbing illegal logging Buy sustainable wood and paper 01 Supporting reputable organizations that work towards chimpanzee habitat conservation through donations is highly beneficial Donate to associations 02 Share comprehensive information with people about conserving chimpanzee habitats, enabling them to contribute to the cause and make a positive impact Spread the word! 03
  • 34. What is habitat conservation? Chimpanzees benefit from legal protection provided by national and international laws, such as the U.S. Endangered Species Act. Certain portions of their habitat are safeguarded as sanctuaries or reserves. Conservation organizations are actively involved in efforts to expand these protected areas. Simultaneously, they advocate for an end to the illegal killing and capture of chimpanzees A critical factor in securing the future of chimpanzees is improving their relationship with humans. Many organizations collaborate with communities to raise awareness about the threats chimpanzees face, develop action plans for habitat preservation, and assist community members in adopting alternative livelihoods that are sustainable and do not harm chimpanzee habitats Chimpanzees are protected by international laws
