Why are they too busy to answer
                   the phone?!?
 If you called the leaders of China, India and Japan,
what would their answering machine message say?
Create a voicemail message for each leader. Wen
Jiabo- China, Dr. Singh – India, Yoshihiko Noda
    Japan (3 messages total!)
 Use the information from your chart to create an
accurate voicemail for what the leader could be
    doing.
 You may use this prompt:
“Hello. This is the voicemail of ________. Sorry I’m
not able to answer my phone right now. I’m
  busy ______________________________________.”
 Thenext 3 slides are examples. Please
 do not copy them!

 Use
your chart and notes to create your
 own “factual” voicemail messages.

 Youmay choose to write your messages
in PowerPoint form or on a Word
 document.
 Namaste! You have reached the voicemail
of Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. I
cannot come to my phone right now
because I am out making sure that all
citizens18 and over are registered to
vote. I should be able to return your call
as soon as I contact all of these citizens
and remind them to vote for the
 President, Prime minister, and members
of parliament. Have a nice day!
 Why are you calling me? I probably won’t
listen to what you have to say unless
you’re a member of the Cuban
 Communist Party. Quit calling me.
 Konnichiwa! You have reached the
voicemail of Emperor Horohito. I am out
at a tea ceremony! I will call you back as
soon as I return from my trip even though
my arms will be tired from all the waving.
