EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science, Applied Chemistry, Beloit College, Beloit, WI May 2015
Study Abroad Program, University of Ghana, Legon (Accra) Spring 2014
EXPERIENCE
University ofIowa, Dr. Tori Forbes’s Actinide Laboratory, Iowa City, IA
Chemist June 2014-August 2014
Synthesized and characterized growth trends of uranium metal organic nanotubes on modified
gold surfaces. Successfully created a variety of self assembled monolayers that modify the gold
surface. Successfully adhered various types of nanotubes to the modified surface. Analyzed and
confirmed the growth of the uranium nanotubes on the modified surface using SEM.
Beloit College, Dr. George Lisensky’s Nanochemistry Laboratory, Beloit, WI
Chemist June 2013-July 2013
Developed and conducted original research. Reconstructed a triboelectric nanogenerator using
bench top chemistry based off of scientific literature. The goal of the research was to create a
more cost efficient and easily replicable generator.
