Dear Sir or Madam,
I have had the pleasure of working with Charles Atencio, EIT during his engagement at
Earth Tech in the Concord, Massachusetts office. The Earth Tech Concord office is the
primary regional office for New England and is also a major Earth Tech full-service
design office.
Despite my primary assignment to Earth Tech's Water group, I have worked closely with
the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing group and with Charles on multi-disciplinary
projects. We have worked together on various aspects of Earth Tech's Pawtucket, Rhode
Island project - the design, build, and operation of a new 25 MGD water treatment plant
for the Pawtucket Water Supply Board. The project is highly complicated due to the
project schedule, existing structures, and tight site conditions. Charles assisted in the
design and review of portions of the new water treatment plant's HVAC system. Charles
quickly proved himselfas a valuable asset to the project.
Charles has shown himself to be extremely knowledgeable with regards to both HVAC
and CADD. He has freely shared his knowledge and assisted me on numerous occasions
with strange, odd, and interesting HVAC and CADD problems. He is a man of character
and enjoys challenges.
On a personal level, Charles has shown himself to be easy to work with, helpful,
insightful, and. In addition he is a staunch friend. He is quick to offer experience and
assistance, a characteristic that is all too rare. It has been a pleasure to work with and
know Charles and while saddened to see him go, I wish him only the best in all of his
future ventures.
