Rachel is a name which is associated with innocence, we thought this would be the perfect name as she is the naïve and innocent victim. The name Rachel is also associated with being lovely and beautiful. Historically the name originates from the Hebrew language. Consequently the name really suits the medias views on a teenage girl, who is in a popular social group at school.

4. Dennis.This is the male characters name. Like the name Rachel we chose for the female character we decided to choose this name on the idea of the binary oppositions. We needed the name to be one with the meaning completely opposite to Rachel, so we chose Dennis. Dennis is a name which is associated with being one of a dark and evil name. This was a perfect name to choose for our character because he will be represented as a very evil character and will take the role as the criminal. The name is also known to be very mysterious, and the whole point of our film opening was to pursue the perfect mysterious story line.
