An earthquake hit the island of Sumatra on September 29th, resulting in over 1,300 confirmed deaths. Many more people are missing and buried under rubble and landslides. Over 152,000 homes were severely damaged and uninhabitable, leaving thousands without shelter as the rainy season approaches. Survivors are unable to access clean water and food, and are desperate for assistance.
