2. CFTRI:
● Central food technological research institute (CFTRI), Mysore came into existence on 21st
October 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as
dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in depth research and development in the
areas of food science and technology.
● It’s head quarters is located in Mumbai.
● CFTRI today stands out among the largest and most diversified food technology laboratories in
the world.
● The role of CFTRI has always been on a high pedestal in the areas of human resource
development and R&D partnerships cherished through the international linkages with
institutions such as the Institute of Food Technologists (USA), UN University (Tokyo), European
Economic Commission (Belgium), National Science Foundation (USA) and many more.

6. NIPCCD
● The National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development
(NIPCCD) is an autonomous organization with its headquarters in New Delhi.
● It facilitates under the Department of Women and Child Development,
Ministry of Human Resource Development.
● Five Regional Centres namely: (i) Regional Centre, Guwahati (established
in1978), (ii) Regional Centre, Bengaluru (1980), (iii) Regional Centre, Lucknow
(1982), (iv) Regional Centre, Indore (2001), and (v) Regional Centre, Mohali
(2019) to cater to the region-specific requirements.
7. ● The institute is the apex body for training of functionaries of the Integrated
Child Development Services (ICDS) programme.
● It provides technical advice and consultancy to government and voluntary
agencies in promoting and implementing policies and programmes for child
development and voluntary action.
● It collaborates with regional and International agencies. Research
institutions, universities and technical bodies.
