First of all, our 21 year old son Richie passed away tragically in a motor vehicle accident this past October 7, 2008 leaving us unprepared both financially and emotionally as you can only imagine. Secondly the very following month in December the car dealership that I was employed at closed its doors for good without any advance notice to its employees. I arrived at work only to find out it would be my last day there. These events have caused us to fall short on our payments and we have not been able to afford what is owed to date on the mortgage. At this point our main goal and concern is to keep our home that we love so much, we never expected to be going through this process at this time in our lives and feel strongly that this hardship is a temporary setback. I have diligently searched for work and have started working again which is a good thing as I do not want to lose my home. At this time I am asking Countrywide to please approve a loan modification, or work with us to lower the delinquent amount owed and or payment so we can keep our home. We truly hope that you will consider working with us as we are anxious to get this situation settled so we all can move on and things can finally get back on track.
