Orientation training and job satisfaction_media releaseThomas Lange
A study conducted by Professor Thomas Lange found that workplace orientation training is a strong predictor of job satisfaction. The study, which analyzed survey responses from nearly 7,000 British employees, showed that orientation training helps new employees adjust to their jobs by reducing uncertainty. The findings suggest human resource managers should redirect resources to focus more on orientation training, especially given its impact on creating an engaged workforce. While orientation training was found to positively impact job satisfaction in both the public and private sectors, the effects were predominantly seen in the public sector for both men and women.
