Company Profile
Tamil Nadu Petro Products Limited (TPL) is a leading
manufacturer of Industrial Intermediate chemicals with its headquarters
in Chennai, India.
TPL was established in 1984 with the founding objective of
setting up a state of that art Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) manufacturing
facility. Today, the company’s portfolio of products also includes caustic
soda, propylene oxide and chlorine.
About Caustic Soda
 Caustic Soda [NaOH] is the large inorganic chemical on
which depends the development of a number of chemical
industries like rayon, drugs, pulp and paper etc. It is used
in the manufacture of day to day commodities like soaps,
detergents and textiles.
 In India commercial production of caustic soda was started
in 1941 with the commissioning of two, 5 TPD plants, one
at Kolkata and other at Mettur Dam.
