Bands like Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode established signature electronic sounds through seminal albums in the 1980s that influenced mainstream pop and rock. Depeche Mode gave a powerful concert in Bogota, Colombia in 2009 that was celebrated as releasing pent-up anticipation from fans who had longed to see the band perform in their country.

Coco Robicheaux. the unofficial mayor of Frenchmen Street, was a unique, completely self-defined character and musician, a man who believed his music intermingled the spiritual and physical worlds.
Nearly 2 years after his death, several of Robicheaux's friends and former bandmembers have come together to stage a fitting tribute to him. At the Blues Tent during the 2013 Jazzfest, veteran rock and soul singer Irene Sage -- "Queen Irene," in Robicheaux's lexicon -- led an ensemble that included guitarist Michael Sklar and pedal steel "wizard" Dave Easley.
Reggae originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s as a slower version of earlier genres like mento and ska, characterized by rhythmic guitar playing on the upbeats and prominent bass lines. Bob Marley is considered its most famous artist. Spanish Reggae later developed in Panama due to immigration of Jamaicans working on the Panama Canal, with many staying and assimilating into the local culture. While reggae is popular among black communities, it has grown to become widely popular worldwide across various cultures and demographics.

‘Live Programming Set’ features Cathy plus Live Programmer and DJ. Ableton Live in the mix, this set never fails to ignite the dance floor and see hands in the air! Using loop pedals to drop infectious vocal hooks and melodies on new beats, rhythms, grooves and textures, this live experience fuses her new releases with all the usual requested floor fillers, ‘Black water’ (with Grant Nelson), ‘All About Love’ (with Knee Deep) and ‘Let It Go’ (Defected). The Set was developed by Cathy when she supported Fatboy Slim on tour in Dubai for Live Nation & MTV and has since opened various world sports events such as the World Ski Championships in Switzerland & Austria and numerous MTV Club events in Ibiza!
In 2009 Cathy received an honorary invitation and accolade to sing for H.H the Dalai Lama’s birthday at the Commerzbank Arena, Frankfurt, Germany. Selected artists not only performed for this celebration but also received a blessing from H.H himself. The arena hosted 40,000 people and the proceeds raised money for the ‘Free Tibet Campaign’.
Recent events include the prestigious Murano Glass Fine Art project in Venice, ‘Glasstress‘ 2013. Cathy was invited to perform and co-write an EP for this exclusive collection and exhibition opening at La Biennale, Venice, Italy. This exhibition features cutting edge installations created by extraordinary artists, Vivienne Westwood, Tracy Emin, Damien Hurst and the legendary NYC producer, artist / rapper, Pharrell Williams.
