Smocking system
Traditional hand smocking begins with marking smocking dots in a grid
pattern on the wrong side of the fabric and gathering it with temporary
running stitches. These stitches are anchored on each end in a manner that
facilitates later removal and are analogous to basting stitches. Then a row
of cable stitching stabilizes the top and bottom of the working area

How to use designs
The core of designing is doing smocking following the pattern. Every
design has been made very carefully balancing between style and
symmetry. One made design is applicable on many apparel and attire. So
one design is possible to apply at pillow case, bedding, quilt, even on shawl
or girl`s dress. Check the table for reference.
