Following that, competitors run a 3.1- mile course out to the Catalina Casino and then up Country Club Drive to an altitude of 280 feet before descending back down to the finish line at Green Pier. Male, female, and co- ed heats are conducted during the triathlon event, accommodating competitors from age 14 to over 80 years old.
