The document summarizes an exchange between a prison ministry leader and a Muslim imam during a religious diversity training session. When asked, the imam confirms that the Quran commands followers of Allah to kill all non-believers to ensure they have a place in heaven. However, when pressed further about this commanding followers to kill people of other faiths, the imam is left speechless. The ministry leader then challenges the imam by asking if he would rather follow a god that tells him to kill others or a god like Jesus that tells Christians to love all people.

Subject: Hajj Sacrifice meat …
Dear Mr. President,
As a devout Muslim, I have been to Hajj in Saudi Arabia. As an expert on Islam, I am aware of all the religious duties of Muslims. As a fighter for Human Rights, I know very well that rights of an individual are more than their right to vote or freedom to wear what they desire. It is also a God given right to have food on their table without constantly worrying about where the next meal is coming from.
As a Human Rights activist, I do my part to encourage awareness that millions of pounds of meat go to waste under incompetent hands. For the past two years, I have been doing everything in my power to induce the Embassy of Saudi Arabia to give an accounting of the disposition of the Hajj meat that millions of Hajji sacrifice on the day of Eid al-Adha ,"Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid”.
A brief history of this date: Prophet Abraham (PBH) received a sheep, instead of Ishmael his youngest son, to sacrifice to Allah (SVT). From that day over 3500 years ago and particularly in the time of Prophet Mohammad, we have been commanded to give away the meat of Hajj. Wasting is a forbidden act. In the time of Prophet, people would salt meat and placed it in special animal skin sacks to take back to their tribes during the months of travel. Since the beginning of Al Saud’s reign, this meat has been left to rot after Hajj. According to my sources, in the last decade, due to international pressure, meat is now being frozen and sold.
In March of 2010, the Saudi government finally allowed me a meeting with Dr. Saud Al Sati, Minister Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Washington D.C. I insisted to know what happens to the meat they gather during Hajj. This is not just a few pounds of meat but MILLIONS of pounds that could be given to starving nations such as Afghanistan. Dr. Al Sati, told me in person that the Saudi Government does not put everything about the donations on their WebPages but he quickly sent me the attached information with highlights in red.
The question is, what becomes of the surplus meat after Hajj?
Unless your administration thinks it is not important that children in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Africa, and other countries where teens are so poor that for a promise of 100 dollars they become suicide bombers,
You are one of the few people in the world who can persuasively convey this message to King Abdullah.
For the sake of peace and for the people of Afghanistan, US troop and coalition forces, people must be fed. A hungry child sees a soldier as the reason for disparity. In Islam we are forbidden to hurt the hand feeding us.
Thank you for your time.
Yours Sincerely,

The document discusses the celebration of Eid Milad un Nabi, also known as the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. It explains that this celebration is an Islamic tradition dating back centuries, where Muslims organize gatherings to commemorate happy occasions. These gatherings involve reciting the Quran, praising the Prophet, and serving food. The document argues that prominent Islamic scholars, past and present, have affirmed the permissibility of celebrating the Prophet's birthday based on references in the Quran and hadith. It aims to dispel objections to this celebration by providing historical and religious context.
Muhammad died in 632 AD without appointing a successor, leading to disagreement over leadership. This resulted in the formation of the two main sects of Islam - Sunnis and Shias. Sunnis believe Abu Bakr was the rightful successor and make up 80% of Muslims, while Shias believe it was Ali and are centered in Iran. There remain tensions between the sects over religious interpretations and leadership.
The document discusses Muslim-Christian relations based on Islamic principles of equality, justice and tolerance. It outlines how the Quran establishes that Muslims should deal kindly with non-Muslims and references early encounters between Prophet Muhammad and Christians, including receiving early support and confirmation from Christian figures. The document also discusses the status and rights of non-Muslims living under Islamic rule, including the right to freedom of worship.
1. Makkah and Madinah are the two holiest cities for Muslims, where the Kaaba and Masjid al-Nabawi are located.
2. While many books focus on rituals and acts of worship in the cities, very few stress the importance of good etiquette and treating others with respect.
3. The document outlines proper conduct expected of Muslims when visiting the holy cities, such as being courteous, avoiding causing harm to others, and observing quiet in sacred places.

CFM media statement - stop baseless accusations - final eng. 9.09Sivin Kit
The Christian Federation of Malaysia issued a media statement calling for an end to baseless accusations and calls for "action" regarding the use of the word "Allah" by Christians in Malaysia. The statement notes that some television programs and Friday sermons have made untrue claims about supposed Christian plots while stoking anger among Muslims. However, Christians in Malaysia have used the word "Allah" for hundreds of years without issue, its use is not a problem in other Muslim countries, and there is no evidence that its use is an attempt to convert Muslims. The Federation calls on the government to ensure freedom of religion for all Malaysians and to promote peace and justice on this issue.
The document discusses the reasons why the Prophet Muhammad had multiple wives. It notes that he had 12 wives total, with most being widows or divorced. It argues that lust was not a factor, as his first marriage at age 25 was to the 40-year-old Khadijah, and he remained married to only her for 25 years until her death. After her death, his subsequent marriages between ages 52-60 were for political, social, and religious reasons, not lust. It provides examples of how his marriages strengthened bonds with companions and rewarded early Muslim widows, and notes that polygamy was a norm among other prophets as well.
This hadith discusses three types of men that the Prophet Muhammad took an oath about: [1] Men whose wealth is not reduced by charity, as spending in the way of Allah replenishes wealth. [2] Men who are honored by Allah for showing patience in the face of oppression rather than retaliation. [3] Men who open themselves to begging and poverty by stretching out their hands to others rather than depending on Allah.
Respecting Religious Feelings Peace-symposium-2008muzaffertahir9
The document is a speech by Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community, about respecting religious feelings. It makes three key points:
1) A Muslim can never defame or disrespect any prophet, and an Ahmadi Muslim believes in prophets even more than ordinary Muslims because they also believe in the Promised Messiah. The history of the Ahmadiyya community shows they are truly makers and keepers of peace.
2) If some religious commandment is unclear, people should ask knowledgeable followers of that faith to understand properly rather than criticize unfairly. Since most common people follow misguided leaders, true teachings can be misunderstood.
The document discusses the concept of Jihad according to the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. It summarizes his teachings on Jihad in three key points:

2) He rejected the concept that the Promised Messiah would fight and kill disbelievers, stating this view is opposed to the Quran and invented by impostors.
3) He emphasized that the true concept of Jihad in Islam only permits defensive wars, wars to punish

1) Marriage is established through mutual consent between the couple and their parents or guardians, with witnesses and a dowry.

3) Getting married can be obligatory, recommended, disliked, or forbidden depending on one's health, wealth and ability to fulfill marital responsibilities with justice. Maintaining a happy marriage requires reflection on questions like the right time, partner, process, purpose, and management of marriage.

It also summarizes the origins and spread of Islam, noting it was able to convert many due to its accessibility, lack of priesthood, promotion of equality, and military campaigns against non-believers. The document concludes with statistics on the global Muslim population today.
The document provides an overview of reactions to blasphemy from the Muslim world. It defines blasphemy as disrespectful acts or speech about God or religion. It discusses examples of blasphemy from the life of Prophet Muhammad and early Islamic history. It highlights how Muslims are commanded to respect Jesus and speak of him with reverence. The story of Mary and her dedication of Jesus to temple service is recounted, and it is emphasized that the Quran's account could not have been fabricated by Muhammad as an "unlettered" man, given how it honors figures like Mary who Muslims had no reason to revere at the time.
This document provides an overview of Hasidic life, beginning with some of the most famous Hasidic individuals like Marc Chagall and Elie Wiesel. It then discusses differences between Orthodox and Hasidic sects like Satmar and Lubavitch. The lighter side of Hasidic life is presented, showing community, family, and spirituality. Overall, the document aims to give a balanced perspective of both positive and negative aspects of Hasidic culture and traditions.

It then provides an introduction discussing the author's shock at the 9/11 attacks and his realization that America would face its most serious attack through Islam. The introduction aims to help readers understand Islam and have compassion for peaceful Muslims while addressing fundamentalism.
This document provides an overview of the problems facing modern society, including confusion over values, increased crime and social issues, and a lack of spiritual fulfillment. It suggests that the root cause is a loss of religious faith and fixed principles to guide behavior. Without faith, people and societies lose a sense of direction and moral accountability. This document discusses how Jesus' teachings and lifestyle are better embodied by Muslims than modern Christians. It provides examples of how Muslims adhere to practices like modest dress, greeting with "peace", prohibitions on usury and pork, prayer postures, fasting, and pilgrimage in a way that is more consistent with Jesus' example. The document argues that while early Christians followed Jesus' teachings closely, over time they deviated from his practices in a way that modern Muslims do not. It suggests Muslims could be considered the "Jesus freaks" of today for living according to God's laws and Jesus' teachings.
The document discusses the politicization of early Islamic narratives and their use to justify extremism. It describes how colonial powers exploited Islamic scholars' ignorance of pre-Islamic history to sow division. The author's Iranian friend believes critically examining early Islamic sources could lead to peace, but the author argues knowledge seeks truth, not peace, and that war is inherent to the modern world due to Western colonialism's destruction of other civilizations.
1) The document discusses Muhammad as the greatest man in history according to several sources. It summarizes the views of historian Michael H. Hart, who ranked Muhammad as the most influential person in his book "The 100".
2) Hart argues that Muhammad played a more important role in founding and spreading Islam than Jesus did in founding Christianity, since Paul was more influential in developing Christian theology.
3) The document also discusses views from the magazine Time that recognized Muhammad as a great leader, alongside Jesus and other religious figures. It analyzes the qualities of a true leader according to psychologist Jules Masserman.
The islamic view of women and the family by by muhammad abdul raufdocsforu
This document provides an introduction to an upcoming book about the Islamic view of women and the family. It begins with background on the author and their motivation for writing the book. The author felt there was a need to explain Islam's perspective on issues of women's rights, marriage, and family as most available information focused on other religions. The introduction provides context on some of the social changes in recent decades that have impacted these topics. It also gives a brief overview of some key aspects of Islam to provide background for the views that will be discussed in the upcoming book, which are based on teachings found in the Quran and hadith.
This document provides an introduction to veiling practices among Muslim women. It discusses how veiling predates Islam and was practiced by various religious groups. However, veiling became strongly associated with Islam starting in the 19th century during European colonialism. At that time, veiled Muslim women were depicted in a sexualized manner in Western art and films to justify colonialism. More recently, veiling remains a controversial issue as it is seen by some as a symbol of women's oppression or a threat to secular values. The introduction aims to provide a more nuanced understanding of veiling's complex history and meanings for Muslims.
