This document provides instructions for downloading and installing the ChronoForms component in Joomla 1.5. It details going to the ChronoEngine website and downloading the ChronoForms zip file, then using the Joomla installer to browse for the file and upload and install it. Once installed, the success message is displayed and the ChronoForms administration menu is accessible to begin creating forms.

Installing ChronoForms
This will show you how to download the ChronoForms component from the ChronoEngine.com website and install it in Joomla 1.5.
Note: we use ChronoForms v3.0 for Joomla 1.5 in this tutorial. The steps for installing earlier versions in Joomla 1.5 or in Joomla 1.0.x are very
similar.
Go to the Downloads section on the website
Click the Downloads tab at the top of the ChronoEngine website.

3. Download the ChronoForms Component
Then navigate the folders to the Joomla 1.5 Component folder and click the 'Download Now' link. Save the file to your computer.

4. Open the Joomla Installer dialogue
Log in to the Administration of your Joomla site. Click the Install/Uninstall item on the Extensions menu.

5. Install in the Joomla Extension Manager
In the Extension Manager dialogue click the Browse button. Your computer's file explorer window will open and you can find the ChronoForms zip
file that you saved and select it. When you return to the Extension Manager click the 'Upload File & Install' button.

If all is well you will see this message. If there is an error then check the error message, make any necessary changes and re-try.
